Transfer to Kotor Bay now recognized as one of Montenegro’s principal attractions and cultural treasures. First stop is in the charming old sea faring town of Perast. With its baroque architecture, and looking like a part of Venice that has floated down the Adriatic, Perast hums with melancholy memories of the days when it was rich and powerful. Despite having only one main street, this tiny town boasts 16 churches and 17 formerly grand palazzos. We then embark on a short boat trip to church island Our Lady of the Rocks and then Old town Kotor. After lunch, we hike up (approximately 45 minutes) through the shaded woods of chestnut trees and partially stoned paths up to the beautiful but abandoned village of Gornji Stoliv. Enjoy the silence of this village while taking in the breathtaking vistas of Perast and the Kotor Bay. After hiking back down, we will be transferred to Kotor.
